Latino youth in the U.S. are learning to practice safe sex. And they're also having less sex. That's according to new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Data compiled from 2007 to 2011 shows the amount of sexually active high school Latinos has decreased by 3.9 percent.

Some things have been clear for a while. The Great Recession and its anemic recovery has severly hurt Americans in every corner of the nation, in every community. And, this is the perennial problem: as always, an economic downturn hurts racial and ethnic minorities more.
