Recently Disney has said it might join Univision, the dominant Spanish language broadcaster in the U.S., in starting an English-language cable news channel this year.

Voter suppression is almost as old as voting itself. From the old chestnut of sending out fliers telling people to "Remember to vote on Wednesday" (when the election is Tuesday, to newer tactics of using poll watchers (i.e. poll intimidators) in specific precincts, it's a tactic that may always be with us.

But some are fighting back.
