As we blogged last week, President Obama's support of marriage equality for all genders and sexual orientations was a watershed moment, even if it has no immediate legal impact (and even though he has little more than the bully pulpit on this issue). Now comes the intense speculation on how much this will help him or hurt him.

If you just started paying attention to the presidential election this week, you might think that it was Reverend Jerimiah Wright who was running for the highest office, not Barack Obama.
Obama's former paster made a big splash over the weekend with his opinions (some might call it a cartoonish performance) at a press conference, and at the NAACP convention.
