Writer John Ridley points out that economic conditions for black men are worsening during the recession, despite having an African-American in the white house.
The January 2009 numbers from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics is bleak. Nearly 12.6 per cent of all black Americans have lost their jobs since January 2008.
