Support for same-sex marriage varies widely among faiths (and non-faiths)

It's not a surprise that Americans who claim to be strongly religious (or religious conservatives) oppose same-sex marriage. It's probably not surprising, either, that agnostics and athiests tend to support same-sex marriage. What may be surprising is the huge gulf in viewpoints, and the shift among all religions toward acceptance.

Same sex marriage opinions: a tipping point?

California experienced a minor earthquake Wednesday, in the form of a ruling from a Federal judge who declared Proposition 8, the voter initiative that ended the ability for gays and lesbians to marry, unconstitutional.
