More immigration ugliness

 

Last week, Columbus, OH Mayor Michael Coleman announced that he was banning city employees from traveling to Arizona on government business because of the state’s new anti-immigration law.

After a terrible, no good, awful week, GOP nominee for U.S. Senate Rand Paul is now in hiding. Someone in his campaign or in the Republican establishment realized that coming out against at least part of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was probably not a good idea. His staunch defense of BP didn't help mister foot-in-mouth either.

Kentucky GOP Senate Candidate: I have an issue with the Civil Rights Act

On Tuesday, opthamologist and son of Libertarian darling Congressman Ron Paul, Rand Paul, trounced his GOP opponent in a primary for the open U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky. Instantly he was catapaulted to the spotlight nationally, as he was the choice of the "Tea Party" movement.

It IS about race after all

 Proponents of Arizona's new "papers please" illegal immigrant-hunting bill have defended it by saying it is all about law and order. Criminals are pouring across the border, raping and plundering and using their services, selling drugs and making  a mockery of legal justice. 

Then how do they explain Arizona's new education policies?
